InternetPV is an independent travel guide to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We started it for a simple reason: most of what's written about Puerto Vallarta either reads like a resort brochure or ranks places by who paid the most. We wanted a guide that gives a straight answer to the questions travellers actually ask — where to stay, what's worth booking, and what to skip.
What we cover
We focus on the things that shape a trip: where to stay and why the neighbourhood matters more than the resort, which day trips are worth the money, what to do, the beaches, and the practical questions — safety, timing, transport and budget.
How we research
We research Puerto Vallarta from published, checkable sources: official tourism information, national park authorities, government travel advisories, transport and tour operators, and reports from recent visitors. We cross-check what we publish and date every page.
We are not a first-hand travel diary, and we don't pretend to be — you won't find invented personal anecdotes here. Where something is seasonal, capped or changeable — whale season, Hidden Beach access, travel advisories, prices — we say so and tell you to confirm it close to travel. When we're not certain, we say that too.
Editorial independence and commercial relationships
These are two separate things, and we keep them separate:
- Editorial coverage: no hotel, tour operator or tourism board can pay to be included, recommended, or covered more favourably. There are no sponsored listings and no paid placements anywhere on this site.
- Commercial relationships: some links to hotels and tours are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when a reader books through them, at no extra cost to you. The site may also carry display advertising.

Why independent matters
No paid placements or recommended on this site. That independence is the whole point: it lets us say that an all-inclusive resort might be the wrong choice even though resorts pay the highest commissions, or that you can reach Yelapa yourself for a fraction of the tour price. A guide that can't say those things isn't a guide — it's an advert.
How the site is funded
